Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-05-24. This policy explains what information YAKA310 STUDIO collects, why we collect it, and how you can manage and protect it.

About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the website at https://yaka310.com (the "Site") and the mobile, web, and desktop applications we publish (the "Products"), unless an individual Product publishes its own separate notice. We are YAKA310 STUDIO, an independent software studio.

We have written this policy to mirror how major platform privacy policies are structured, so that information is easy to find. If you read only one section, read Your rights and choices.

Information we collect

We collect information to provide and improve our Site and Products. The information we collect, and how we collect it, depends on how you use our services.

Information you give us

  • Communications. When you email us, complete a form, or otherwise contact us, we receive your email address, name (if provided), and the contents of your message.
  • Product accounts. Some Products may ask for account information needed to operate that Product. The Product's own in-product notice describes exactly what is collected.

Information collected automatically

  • Device & log data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics.
  • Usage data. We may collect aggregated, non-identifying data about how the Site or Products are used (e.g. page views, feature usage, error counts).

Information from other sources

We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers. We may receive information from third parties only when you direct them to share it with us (for example, by signing in with a third-party account).

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Site and Products.
  • To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To detect, prevent, and address security incidents and abuse.
  • To diagnose technical issues and measure performance.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising or behavioural profiling.

Sharing information

We share information only in the limited circumstances below.

  • Service providers. We use a small number of infrastructure providers — currently for hosting and email delivery. They process data on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required to do so by law, or when we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with legal process, protect our rights, or prevent harm.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this happens.

Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary. Required for the Site to function (for example, security and load-balancing cookies set by our hosting provider).
  • Analytics (where used). We may use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not build cross-site profiles. If we add analytics that requires consent, we will display a cookie banner first.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may affect Site functionality.

Data retention

We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

  • Server access logs: up to 30 days.
  • Email correspondence: up to 24 months, then archived or deleted.
  • Aggregated usage data: indefinitely (does not identify you).
  • Product account data: kept while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account closure.

International data transfers

Our service providers may process data in a number of jurisdictions, including the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the contractual safeguards offered by those providers (such as standard contractual clauses) to ensure an adequate level of protection.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete information we hold about you.
  • Restriction or objection — limit how we use your information.
  • Portability — receive your information in a portable format.
  • Withdrawal of consent — where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with comparable laws (including the GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act) have these rights where those laws apply to us. To exercise any of them, email us at support@yaka310.com.

We answer support email as quickly as we can. For a formal data access or correction request we will respond within the time the law allows — 40 days under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) — and if we need longer we will write to you before that deadline to explain why and answer as much as we can in the meantime.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children's privacy

Our Site and Products are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is 100% secure; if we become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Site or Products after the changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.

How to contact us

Questions, concerns, or requests about this policy can be sent to support@yaka310.com.

Product-specific notices

Where a Product publishes its own privacy notice, that notice governs the Product and this policy governs the Site:

Note. This Privacy Policy is provided as a working template and not as legal advice. We recommend a Hong Kong-qualified lawyer review it before it is relied on for any commercial engagement. Notices published by an individual Product are written against that Product specifically.
