What to know
- Drag the large pad to move the pointer; tap it for a left click.
- Swipe the narrow Scroll strip for vertical scrolling, or use Left click and Right click.
- Basic Mouse and Trackpad + Keys are free; the separate sensor-based Air Mouse is a Pro feature.
Before you start
Connect a compatible Android 9-or-newer phone with Bluetooth HID Device support to a Mac or Windows computer that allows Bluetooth input devices.
Keep the app visible and open a harmless document or webpage. Find the computer pointer before clicking, especially with multiple screens.
How to do it
Confirm the connected computer
Check the connection status and use Connect computer to choose a different paired host if needed. Verify its name before moving or clicking.
Open Mouse and move carefully
Choose Mouse in the app’s main navigation. Drag a finger across the large pad and watch the pointer move on the computer. Lift and reposition your finger when needed. This is relative movement, so touching a spot on the phone does not select the matching spot on the computer screen.
Test clicks on an empty area
Tap the large pad for a left click, or use Left click below it. Try Right click on a harmless part of a document to check the computer’s context menu. The click happens at the computer pointer’s current position, not at a separately detected object.
Scroll with the dedicated strip
Use the narrow area marked Scroll and swipe vertically. Test it over a scrollable webpage or document on the computer. If nothing moves, check which window is active and whether the pointer is over a scrollable area before changing speed settings.
Tune the feel, then try combined input
Open Mouse settings to adjust Pointer speed, Scroll speed and Tap feedback. Change one setting at a time and test a short movement. For mixed text and pointer work, open Tools → Trackpad + Keys; it keeps the trackpad and direct keys on the same screen.
Choose the right pointing surface
| Tool | Useful distinction |
|---|---|
| Mouse | A large touch surface with relative pointer movement, click buttons and a scrolling strip. |
| Trackpad + Keys | Touch pointing and direct keyboard controls visible together. |
| Air Mouse | A separate Pro surface that uses a supported rotation sensor while you hold its pad. |
Adjust phone and computer settings deliberately
Pointer speed controls the phone’s movement output; the computer also applies its own pointer behaviour. Start with a modest movement and avoid changing both sides at once. Scroll speed affects the dedicated scrolling input. Tap feedback changes the phone’s tactile response and does not confirm that a click was accepted by the computer.
A wide monitor or multiple displays may require several finger movements. The phone does not receive a view of the desktop or know where a button is. Keep watching the host screen and make the final approach slowly when targeting a small control.
A practical short-session workflow
For editing a draft, move to the intended field, click, then use Trackpad + Keys for small corrections or arrow-key navigation. Return to Buttons when a saved shortcut is quicker than direct typing. These surfaces share the connection; switching screens does not make the computer application choose its own focus.
Do not assume this touch surface implements every gesture of a laptop trackpad. This guide covers the implemented move, tap, click-button and scroll-strip controls. It does not promise two-finger gestures, multi-touch desktop gestures or a drag-and-drop workflow.
Limits to keep in mind
- The phone does not mirror the host screen or identify interface objects; you must watch and verify the computer’s result.
- Phone HID capability, host settings and Bluetooth conditions affect operation. This guide is not a device-specific compatibility test.
Questions and answers
Does the PC or Mac need a mouse receiver app?
No companion receiver app is required for the Bluetooth keyboard and pointer connection. The host must support and allow the Bluetooth input device.
Why does clicking do nothing?
Check the connected computer, pointer position and application context. A connection status or a vibration on the phone does not prove the host accepted the click.
Do I need motion sensors for Mouse?
The basic Mouse screen uses touch input. The separate Air Mouse requires a supported rotation sensor and Pro access.
Can I use it when Bluetooth input is blocked at work?
No. The app does not bypass a computer’s Bluetooth restrictions or an organisation’s device policy.
